Applies to: WristPilot for iPhone and Apple Watch
WristPilot is a universal TV remote and a workout stopwatch for iPhone and
Apple Watch. This policy explains what the app accesses and what it does (and
does not do) with that information.
The short version
WristPilot does not collect, store, or transmit your
personal data to the developer or to any third party. There are no accounts,
no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything the app does happens
locally — between your iPhone, your Apple Watch, and your own
TVs on your own Wi-Fi network.
What the app accesses, and why
- Local network (iPhone): to discover and control TVs
(Roku, TCL, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony, Hisense) on your home Wi-Fi. The app
communicates only with devices on your local network and only to send
remote-control commands (navigation, volume, power, input, app launch, text
you type into a TV search field). Nothing is sent to the internet.
- HealthKit workout session (Apple Watch): when you start
the workout stopwatch, the watch app starts a workout session solely so the
stopwatch keeps running while your wrist is down. WristPilot does
not read, write, store, or share any health data.
- Watch ↔ iPhone link (WatchConnectivity): carries your
remote-control inputs and mirrors the stopwatch between your own devices. It
stays on your devices.
What is stored on your device
To remember your preferences and avoid re-pairing, the app stores the
following only on your devices, never uploaded:
- App settings (accent theme, haptics, and similar preferences).
- TV pairing credentials — an LG pairing key, a Samsung token, a Vizio
pairing token, and an optional Sony pre-shared key — kept in the device
Keychain so you don't have to re-approve the connection each time.
- TV addresses you add manually, and remembered TV certificate
fingerprints (used to detect tampering on your network).
You can erase all of it at any time by deleting the app.
Data sharing
None. WristPilot does not sell, share, or transmit personal data to the
developer or any third party. The only outbound communication is the control
data you actively send to your own TVs on your local
network.
Children
WristPilot is a utility app and is not directed at children. It does not
collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy

a new effective date.
